SAE International Honors Outstanding Collegiate Branches
WARRENDALE, Pa., March 12, 2009 -
SAE International is honoring three groups of engineering students from universities across the country with the Honeywell Outstanding Collegiate Branch Award. The students will be presented their awards during the SAE 2009 World Congress in Detroit, April 20-23.
The award recognizes SAE collegiate branches for exemplary performance in the areas of technical meetings, networking opportunities, Collegiate Design SeriesTM competitions, membership and recruitment, and community service programs like A World In Motion®. The award is funded by Honeywell through the SAE Foundation.
SAE collegiate branches are defined as groups of 25 or more students who are led by a slate of elected student officers and are advised by a faculty member. Branches compete in one of three classes, based on the number of paid student members.
