Boeing Charleston
Boeing's South Carolina facility fabricates, assembles and installs systems for aft fuselage sections of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner and joins and integrates midbody fuselage sections from other structural partners. With the new, 1.2 million square-feet (111,483 m2) Final Assembly and Delivery facility, Boeing will perform final assembly and deliver 787s from South Carolina to customers around the world. Key facilities in the Charleston complex, Final Assembly Building, Delivery Center, Welcome Center, Central Utilities Building, Support Building, and Flight Line. Uncovering the Secrets of the Wright Brothers Dr Ash will present and discuss the pioneering accomplishments of Wilbur and Orville Wright in designing the world's first powered and controlled flying machine.

Please make your reservations online at www.carolina.sae.org. Click on Events tab and scroll down to the Boeing Charleston, and then click on Registration.
Registration closes 28 October 2012, group size limited to 30 persons.

Note: You must list the name of your company in the online reservations to attend.
Boeing has requested no team members from other aircraft final assembly companies (competitors of Boeing) to be included in the SAE tour group.

Boeing South Carolina Visitor Guidelines
With safety as a priority, we ask that on the day of your visit you please adhere to the following guidelines:
1. No cameras, video recorders or camera phones are permitted as defined in Boeing procedure PRO-2783.
2. Visitors must comply with all safety regulations:
- No open-toed shoes or open heels
- No high-heeled shoes over two inches
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses, earplugs) as posted for the areas being visited. These will be provided for you as needed.
3. Visitors must adhere to the tour path as defined by their tour guide.
4. No children under the age of 12 are permitted.
5. Boeing escorts will remain with their visitors at all times and visit only those areas defined on the visitor badge request form.
6. Visitors who are not U.S. citizens will need a valid passport presented in advance of the tour.
7. The release or disclosure of Boeing Limited or Boeing Proprietary information in any manner is strictly prohibited.
8. Boeing is a Tobacco-Free Workplace.

For those staying the weekend in Charleston, SAE International Carolina Section has negotiated the following rate for SAE International members, $119/night for either a King or two Doubles.
