Technical Session Schedule
Tuesday, September 9
Laser Additive Manufacturing I
(Session Code: AMT11)
Room 512C 1:00 p.m.
Laser Additive Manufacturing (LAM) has been proposed as a lower cost alternative to machining from oversize titanium forgings for producing airframe and engine structure. This session explores the issues that are being addressed as full scale parts are approaching certification and deployment. Manufacturing cost modeling, component manufacture and equipment capability will be discussed.
Organizers - Stephen Varanay, Sikorsky Aircraft Corp.
