In 2012, NHTSA is expected to release its NPRM regarding tractors and certain buses regulations for enhanced stability requirements. In addition to the new rulemaking Phase II of the reduced tractor stopping distance requirements are gearing up for production. In parallel with these changes, additional active safety systems are being installed ahead of NHTSA regulation activities. The panel will review these subjects in more detail.
