Connectivity in Commercial Vehicles
(Session Code: CV406)

Room 43  7:30 a.m.

More and more commercial vehicles are connected through satellite or terrestrial wireless network, and connected vehicles are integrated deeper into the back-end infrastructure. Applications taking advantage of commercial vehicle connectivity have expanded from basic logistics to include fleet operating efficiency, fuel economy, remote diagnosis, advanced safety features and government regulations like the proposed EOBR rule. This session is open to papers and presentations that cover all types of connectivity – in cab portable device to vehicle, tractor to trailer, vehicle to ground infrastructure, vehicle to cloud, vehicle to back-end office infrastructure; and their current or future applications.
