Technological Advancements in Secondary Filtration Devices
(Session Code: CV601)
Room 42 1:30 p.m.
The panel presentation and discussion on advancements in aftermarket secondary filtration, also known as By-Pass Filtration, will showcase technologies that provide numerous benefits for commercial engine applications including improved filtration efficiency, which increases protection against wear and oil degradation. Working in conjunction with an engine’s full-flow oil filter, By-Pass Filters operate on a “partial-flow” basis and trap extremely small, wear-causing contaminants that full-flow oil filters can’t always remove. The By-Pass Filter typically filters 100% of the on-board oil system several times an hour at a slower flow rate and affords benefits to the end-user such as extended drain intervals, improved cooling, increased oil capacity and life, small particle and soot removal, extended engine life, and maintenance and disposal cost reductions.
