Integration Relative to Customer Needs
(Session Code: CV901)

Room 44/46/48/50/51  8:00 a.m.

Commercial vehicles (non-military) are highly configured to meet the needs of the end user.  Customers demand choices for engines and engine ratings, transmissions, ABS, smart sensors, etc.  This environment creates physical and electrical integration challenges for both the OEM and suppliers.  Unlike passenger cars where integration costs are amortized over large volumes, commercial vehicles must bear the integration burden of a highly configured vehicle. This panel will discuss best practices, processes and common tools to lessen the hardship of integration while reducing overall risks.

Organizers - Michael E. Doseck, Belcan Engineering Group Inc.; Xavier Ovize, Hutchinson FTS Inc.; Brian Walker, AVL Powertrain Engineering Inc.
Moderators - John A. Stark, J-C Communications Co. Inc.
Panelists -
Mark Boardman, EATON

Steve Nadig, Daimler Trucks North America LLC
Jeffrey Seger, Cummins Inc.
Landon Sproull, PETERBILT MOTORS COMPANY
