Particulate Sensor Signal Processing and Interpretation for Particulate Filter Diagnostics
Mike Hopka is a technical expert in diesel engine and aftertreatment controls at Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan. He is responsible for software feature development for particulate sensor based exhaust filter diagnostics on both diesel and gasoline applications. Mr. Hopka has been involved with the development of particulate sensors for over five years and has been actively involved in sensor testing, filter diagnostic algorithm development and OBD calibration. Prior to PM sensor development Mr. Hopka’s work included real-time combustion feedback and lean NOx trap feature development. He has B.S and M.S degrees from Ohio State University.
