Worldwide OBD Update
David Ferris has a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Michigan. Prior to working for General Motors, Mr. Ferris worked for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, in Ann Arbor Michigan. While working at General Motors since 1989, Mr. Ferris has been responsible for responding to proposed OBD regulations from the California ARB, U.S. EPA, European Commission, and government agencies from various other countries around the world and he was also Chairman of the American Automobile Manufacturers Association OBD Committee for many years. Mr. Ferris is responsible for GM OBD Certification and Compliance negotiations and has been Chairman of the GM OBD Strategy Review Board.
