Overview
AGE-2A is an Air Cargo Handling subcommittee that develops basic criteria and practices for air cargo and baggage loading systems and equipment, pallets, containers, environment in the aircraft, handling on the ramp, and interfacing with the aircraft and the terminal.
The efforts of AGE-2A result in the development, preparation and eventual Aerospace Council approval of documents falling into one of the following classifications:
AIRs - Aerospace Information Report
ARPs - Aerospace Recommended Practices
ASs - Aerospace Standards
Membership to implement the work is drawn with reasonable balance from airlines, airframe manufacturers, support equipment manufacturers, and others with special aircraft related expertise. Members serve based on their knowledge, expertise, and experience and not as agents or representatives of any organization.
