Overview
This committee has the responsibility and authority to develop standards to facilitate human factors assessment for equipment design.
For this committee, human modeling technology is intended to:
Improve design quality with respect to human factors
Support the definition of design requirements
Demonstrate physical interaction between the human and the system
Identify risks and costs associated with the man-in-the-loop
Activities beyond the scope of this committee include:
Modeling and simulation independent of the human
Simulation strictly intended for non-engineering uses (e.g., training and entertainment)
