Overview
It shall be the responsibility of the Truck and Bus Body and Occupant Environment Committee on behalf of the SAE Truck and Bus Council, and when appropriate, in cooperation and liaison with committees from other councils, to initiate, review, and approve Recommended Practices, and Information Reports related to cabs including both (1) their unique components and accessories, and (2) the environment afforded persons in, on and around them. The equipment involved is that found on trucks and buses of all weight categories, designed primarily for highway use. In carrying out its assignments, the Truck and Bus Body and Occupant Environment Committee shall have authority to establish appropriate subcommittees to perform such research and other work as is necessary to develop the above documents. Further, the committee shall have authority to discharge these subcommittees when it deems their efforts to be completed.
