Mission Statement: Develop a specification to define an interface between a PC based reprogramming tool and a vehicle. SAE J1962 connector that can be used for reprogramming electronic control units for all automobile manufacturers that sell vehicles in the United States. This specification can either be implemented as a standalone interface or integrated with the functionality of other tools that communicate with vehicle control modules over a diagnostic serial data link.
