J1879 SAE ZVEI Robustness Validation Task Force

The Reliability Committee has initiated a joint project with the automotive electronics working group of a German organization called Zentral Verband Elektrotechnik und Elektronik-Industrie (ZVEI) to work on the creation of a new standard to replace SAE J1879 (qualification of semiconductors for automotive applications). Roughly translated ZVEI is the Association of Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers. The project is called Robust Validation. Although initiated by SAE/ZVEI it would will open to device manufactures and OEMs internationally.
