Product may be welded in the -T852/-T851 condition but properties are improved by re-heat treatment to -T6 temper after welding.<p>Certain design and fabricating procedures may cause these products to become susceptible to stress-corrosion cracking; ARP 823 recommends practices to minimize such conditions.
