| Scope |
| This compilation is provided as a convenient reference for SAE Standards for piston rings for internal combustion engines. The standards may generally be applied to piston rings for reciprocating compressors also. These documents replace the SAE J 929a and SAE J1201 standards which are obsolete. Standards for cast iron sealing rings, SAE J281 (Customary Units) and SAE J1236 (Metric units), are not included herein but are available as separate documents. |
