Rationale There is a difference in test panel thickness requirements between AMS2473 and other AMS aluminum finishing specs. This is causing problems with some suppliers in procuring a common panel for testing and raises costs. I believe the panel requirements should be harmonized with similar specifications, along with other updates to meet the current General Agreement language, such as default periodic test frequencies, etc. The specification will be due for five year review next year so it would be a good time to start the revision process.
