Steel, Corrosion and Heat Resistant, Investment Castings, 13Cr - 2.0Ni - 3.0W, Hardened and Tempered
This specification covers a corrosion and moderate heat resistant steel in the form of investment castings.<p>These castings have been used typically for parts, such as compressor blades and vanes, housings, and valves, for use up to 1000 degrees F (538 degrees C), but usage is not limited to such applications.
AMS5354F has been revised to require heat treatment to be validated by tensile testing on a lot basis (4.3.3) and eliminate qualification of master heats by tensile testing, require castings to undergo a homongenization heat treatment (3.3, 3.5.1), add new provisions for serialization (5.1.2), and is a Five Year Review and update of this specification.
