It addresses the following: • The functions to be implemented • The geometric and mechanical characteristics • The mechanical and electrical interfaces • The safety and certification requirements Rationale More and more commercial transport and business aircraft are using fly by wire systems controlled with a rudder and brake pedal unit. This ARP is intended to serve the need to have general requirements available for a with a rudder and brake pedal unit, i.e. as a stand alone unit different than the previous mecanism and sub assembly, that are applicable to these aircrafts.
