This AS part standard is to be the second of three consecutive AS numbers, the previous being the design specification, and the following to be the part standard for type A286 cres. Rationale There is a need for a general specification to define these specialized nuts whose basic design has been defined on several supplier drawings, and their manufacturing processes and applications have been well established.
