Document Number: P12AA Project Initiation: 10-05-2012 Project Number: Revision Number: Sponsor Name: Richard Hilblom Title Unfilled Polyamide-Imide Bar, Rod, and Shapes Scope This specification covers unfilled polyamide-imide plastic (polymer) in the form of molded or extruded bar, rod, and shapes. These products have been used typically for parts requiring good dielectric properties, thermal resistance, and toughness up to 482 F (250 C), but usage is not limited to such applications. Rationale the way polymers are processed alters the physical properties of the final Bar, Rod, or Shape. It was decided by the AMS-P that as a committee we would develop specifications to control the properties of the end use products based on the manufacturing processes.
