Committee AC-9, Aircraft Environmental Systems
Scope
The SAE AC-9 Committee and Sub-Committees have the responsibility of furthering the advancement of technology related to the research, design, test and utilization of aircraft environmental and anti-icing/deicing systems. This Committee develops and updates standards, recommended practices, and information reports contributing to the quality, economy, and safety of commercial and military aircraft. The AC-9C Sub-Committee is involved in the international exchange of information related to aircraft inflight icing and the preparation and review of technical reports in this technology area.

Committee ACBG, Airframe Control Bearings Group
Scope
The SAE ACBG Airframe Control Bearings Group Committee and Sub-Committees have the responsibility of dealing with present and future aircraft airframe control systems, bearings, and associated components. These include flight control actuation systems, rotory and variable sweep wing articulation systems, and induction air control systems. Its main purpose is to determine performance and design needs, decide the type of tests required, and develop standard test methods.
