Fuels and Lubricants Technical Committee 9 - Fuel, Emission, & Lubricants for Medium Speed Engines & Associated Equipment

Scope

Technical Committee 9 will develop, collect and disseminate technical information on fuels, lubricants and exhaust emissions of medium speed off-highway engines. These engines, generally in the 800-1200 RPM range are used for railroad, inland marine, pipeline, drill rig, power generation and other applications. "Lubricants" will include engine oils and lubricants for ancillary systems associated with medium speed engines. This committee is not expected to develop specifications and/or classifications that are within the scope of other technical committees.
