Scope

The Committee shall develop and maintain SAE Standards, Recommended Practices and Information Reports for the development, production, application and testing of marine vehicles and equipment.

The Committee shall maintain liaison with the American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC), Canadian Coast Guard (CCG), International Council of Marine Industry Association (ICOMIA), International Organization for Standardization (ISO), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA), United States Coast Guard (USCG), and other organizations as necessary.
