Scope
It shall be the responsibility of the Truck and Bus Brake Committee of the SAE Truck and Bus Council to initiate, develop, review, and approve Recommended Practices, Standards, Draft Technical Reports, Technical Data Reports, and Information Reports related to brake components systems and their interfacing with operators and foundation brakes. Included are trucks, tractor-trailer combinations and buses over 10,000 lbs (4500 Kg) GVWR designed primarily for on and on/off highway use.

The Truck and Bus Brake Committee is constituted so that it is aware of other SAE brake activities and does not duplicate efforts.
