Aerospace Standards Committees showcase at ACE 2003

SAE's Aerospace Standards Committees will be doing more than just co-locating their Fall meetings at the Aerospace Congress & Exhibition (ACE), September 8-12 in Montreal. In an effort to promote its standards development activities and efforts, SAE has arranged for two days of presentations devoted to Committee activity. Each committee will have the opportunity to host a one-hour session that could highlight:

• Scope of the committee
• History of the committee
• Present projects/activities
• Presentations on new technology leading to further activity
• Time for any questions/answers

In addition to the one-hour sessions, SAE staff will be providing fact sheets on each committee, along with "Interest Forms" that can be completed by conference attendees. SAE staff will also be on hand to answer questions regarding the SAE standards development process, becoming a standards committee member, accessing public standards information via the Web, and approaching committees with new projects.

ACE, hosted by Bombardier Aerospace, is a combined event featuring four SAE conferences and the Aerospace North America Exhibit. More than 30 SAE committees will be meeting in conjunction with ACE. This will be the largest single gathering of SAE Aerospace Technical Committees at any SAE event.
