A new 273 cu in. V-8 engine for use in the Plymouth Valiant and Dodge Dart car lines is described. It combines increased smoothness and performance with the maneuverability characteristics of a compact car.
This paper describes the design features of this engine and reviews briefly the factors which provide the engine with a high level of reliability and performance.
