Abstract:
The first reusable rocket to land on earth has a normal hydraulic system consisting of the usual components. However, what happened when four variable displacement hydraulic pumps interact with each other was not normal; nor was it normal to experience an explosion at the beginning of Flight No. 5 that damaged the hydraulic system, but the vehicle continued to fly properly for a 78-second aborted mission.
