An Unprecedented Opportunity for the DoD Software Engineering Community

Join the Air Force Sustainment Center and SAE International for the 1st annual Air & Space Weapon Systems Software Summit. Approved by the Department of Defense, this event will allow the DoD software engineering community to network, seek fresh perspectives, and spark new ideas to tackle software challenges in creative and innovative ways. 

Held in Salt Lake City, UT from May 3-4, 2022, the inaugural Air and Space Weapon Systems Software Summit and co-located Defense Systems Tech Expo presents a new opportunity for the DoD Enterprise Software Engineering community and private industry to accelerate the practices of continuous software development/sustainment and revolutionize the next cycle of innovations. 

As the only government-sponsored event for the DoD Enterprise Software Engineering community, the Summit will bring together members of the DoD, academia, and commercial communities for the purpose of helping mission partners address challenges and explore the path forward. With the AFSC Commander serving as the Chairman of the event, cross-military collaboration and private-sector participation will be guaranteed.

Speakers will analyze and present emerging technology, process, and management solutions to software lifecycle issues through: 

  • Keynote and plenary presentations
  • Working group discussions
  • Technical sessions
  • Educational workshops
  • Hands-on training opportunities
  • Technology and equipment demonstrations
  • A co-located exhibit hall with leading-edge solutions
  • Associated meetings opportunities

Participation in the event is conducted at the unclassified level.


Defense Systems Tech Expo:
The Forefront Of Emerging Technologies.

The Defense Systems Tech Expo–DSTE is co-located with the Air and Space Weapon Systems Software Summit. This exhibit hall brings to life the emerging technology solutions offered by government and private industry partners.

For industry partners, it also provides an unprecedented opportunity to display software products, solutions and services directly to software engineers and leaders within the DoD.
