Sergio M. Savaresi has received a master's in electrical engineering (Politecnico di Milano, 1992), a Ph.D. in systems and control engineering (Politecnico di Milano, 1996), and a master's in applied mathematics (Catholic University, Brescia, 2000). After receiving his Ph.D., Savaresi worked as management consultant at McKinsey & Co., Milan office. He has been a full professor in automatic control at Politecnico di Milano since 2006. He is Deputy Director and Chair of the Systems & Control Section of Department of Electronics, Computer Sciences and Bioengineering (DEIB), Politecnico di Milano. He is Associate Editor of:  IEEE Transactions on Control System Technology; European Journal of Control; Control Engineering Practice. He is Member of the Editorial Board of the IEEE CSS. He is author of more than 500 scientific publications. His main interests are in the areas of vehicles control, automotive systems, data analysis and system identification, nonlinear control theory, and control applications. He is co-founder and partner of seven spin-off companies.
 

David Antanaitis earned a bachelor's and master's degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 1997. He has worked in the brake department of General Motors since 1997, with previous positions in validation, brake system development, and brake component development. He is currently a Global Technical Integration Engineer, Brake Systems. He has authored more than 20 papers for SAE International and participated in/chaired the hydraulic brake components and automotive braking and steering hose committees, as well as various SAE International task forces.

Matthew Robere has been the Global Lead Engineer for brake pads for General Motors since 2015, and has worked in various positions in the braking industry for 11 years in friction material development, foundation brake development, and brake NVH. He graduated from Kettering University in 2007 with a bachelor's in mechanical engineering and from Wayne State University in 2010 with a master's in biomedical engineering.

In 1996, Michael A. Gromosiak started his Timken career as an application engineer focused on chassis and wheel end products for the North American light truck market. Since 2009, Gromosiak has held management positions of increasing responsibility including Engineering Manager–Light Vehicle Systems before moving to his current role supporting both light vehicle and heavy truck industries in 2017. Gromosiak earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Dayton and has been an active member of SAE for 22 years, including serving as chairman of the Akron/Canton section of SAE from 2002 through 2004.

At LINK Europe, Michael Schorn oversees operations in both Germany and Italy and manages personnel stationed throughout Europe. Before joining LINK, he served as Director of Engineering and Product Development of High Performance and Racing for TMD Performance GmbH. Prior to that, he was a Technical Director of Brembo S.p.A, and Chief Engineer of Foundation Brakes at Continental Teves. Schorn has been actively involved as a session organizer for the Brake Colloquium since 2008. He has been organizing sessions and growing the technical content in the high-performance brake systems. Schorn has also been instrumental in securing speakers from Europe for other technical sessions at the event and continues to be a valuable member of the organizing team. Schorn holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
