Brake Colloquium & Exhibition FAQs
1. Why was the in-person event canceled?
Due to concerns around the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, along with health directives and guidance from governmental and international health authorities, government- and corporate-imposed travel restrictions, and distancing and gathering directives and recommendations, resulted in SAE International making the responsible decision to cancel the in-person Brake Colloquium & Exhibition.
2. Can I get a refund on my registration?
Attendees: All registered attendees will receive a full refund.
Exhibitors & Sponsors: Exhibiting and sponsoring companies will be automatically included in our virtual event. Our sales team will reach out directly to discuss participation and allocation of money paid across the 2020 virtual event and planned 2021 in-person event. Should you not wish to participate in the virtual event or planned 2021 in-person event, we will offer a full refund.
3. Will there be a virtual event to present the content?
We are transitioning the in-person event to a virtual event to ensure all content is available to all parties. More details will be available soon on the brake website.
4. Will the cancellation impact the publication of Brake technical papers?
All approved technical papers from the Brake Colloquium & Exhibition 2020 will be published and available for purchase.
5. Can I get a refund on my hotel?
Yes, full hotel refunds will be issued. Please cancel your hotel reservation directly.
6. Can I get a refund on my travel?
Many airlines are offering change fee waivers for booked airfare. Please contact your travel provider for their currently established fee and cancellation policies.
