Ready Systems at the Speed of Relevance
Annually, the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Logistics and Materiel Readiness conducts the DoD Maintenance Symposium. It gathers together members of the maintenance and sustainment communities within both the public and private sectors to increase their awareness of current initiative and issues, share lesson learned, establish and maintain networks, and recognize the best maintenance units in the Department. The Symposium is the only event sponsored by the Office of the Secretary of Defense solely focused on the maintenance and sustainment of weapon systems and equipment and will convene this December 9-12, 2019 in Spokane, Washington.
The theme of this year's Symposium is "Ready Systems at the Speed of Relevance." The comprehensive agenda is structured to align with the new National Defense Strategy and frame key policy, strategy, resourcing, process, and technology issues affecting our enterprise. It includes plenary panels, breakout and tutorial sessions, associated meetings, the annual SecDef Maintenance Awards ceremony, and a co-located robust exhibit hall. As an attendee at the 2019 DoD Maintenance Symposium you’ll join over 1,600 attendees from government, industry, and academia.
