The Department’s urgent and ongoing readiness recovery journey must succeed and requires both government organizations and industry, side-by-side, to achieve the goals set in the National Defense Strategy. Recent efforts focused on increasing the availability of critical DoD platforms have yielded improvement — but the current global environment requires us to accelerate our pace.
The 2022 DoD Maintenance Symposium and co-located Defense Maintenance and Logistics Exhibition was a rousing success and brought in over 2,000 defense maintenance professionals together for four days of concentrated learning, collaboration, and technology exploration. We anticipate the 2023 event to be bigger, be sure it is included in your FY24 budget to attend.
The Symposium is the only DoD event solely focused on the maintenance of weapon systems and equipment. Defense maintenance and sustainment professionals from government, industry, and academia will converge in San Diego, California, this December to engage on the top DoD maintenance challenges including:
- Senior keynote presentations
- Plenary panels
- Breakout and tutorial technical sessions
- Associated meetings
- 2nd Annual Weapon Systems Software Summit
- Annual SecDef Maintenance Awards Ceremony
