SAE FARNBOROUGH FLIGHT LINE RECEPTION

Tuesday, July 23, 2024

Be our lunch guest at the Farnborough Museum during the Air Show

Join colleagues from industry and SAE International at the Farnborough Air Sciences Trust (FAST) Museum for this exclusive and popular meet and greet. The informal agenda includes conversations with Executive Vice Presidents and Chief Operating Officers of SAE International and SAE ITC and others: Senior Director Aerospace Standards, members of SAE Aerospace Council and Committees and other SAE Group staff.

Located on Farnborough’s historic aviation site in North Hampshire, the FAST Museum’s collections showcase the area’s proud and illustrious aviation heritage.

Housed in the Royal Engineers Balloon School building (circa 1908), it is superbly situated on a hill overlooking the runway of Farnborough Airfield. Enjoy the flying aircraft display in the air over the museum while viewing historic planes, helicopters and space vehicles on display in and around the museum.

As the globally recognized aerospace standards development organization, we invite you to enjoy this luncheon reception and the FAST surroundings while…

  • Learning the benefits strategic standardization offers companies including technical and leadership influence on the design and development of aerospace vehicles and the global industry
  • Understanding the steps involved in voluntary consensus-based standards development and how the process creates concrete solutions to your real-world problems.
  • Hearing about the ground-breaking work taking place in SAE technical standards committees with focus areas including the digital landscape, additive manufacturing, electric and hybrid aircraft, UAS/RPAS, electronic counterfeit parts avoidance, and additive materials (ALM)
  • Seeing how SAE works with industry, government, and regulatory agencies around the world e.g. EASA, FAA, UK CAA and ICAO to create international standards which form the technical basis of regulations and government requirements.

Hear from colleagues in industry who have experienced the benefits of global standardization. Find out how your company and technical staff can get involved in the standards program through the organization that develops more aerospace and mobility vehicle standards than any other - SAE International.
