We provide un-paralleled pre-professional education to college age students across the world. Formally known as Collegiate Design Series (CDS), these programs paved the way for countless young professionals as they enter the workforce. Our carefully crafted programs develop soft skills, foster teamwork, expand critical thinking, and address specific needs of the mobility industry today.
Conceive, design, fabricate, and test a radio controlled aircraft that can take off, land, and optimally meet the mission requirements. Two regional competitions occur yearly.

Develop a full autonomous driving passenger vehicle and navigate an urban driving course. This is a four-year autonomous vehicle competition, in partnership with General Motors.
Ann Arbor, Michigan | June 4-10, 2024
Design and build a prototype of an all-weather, rugged, single-seat, off-road recreational vehicle. The most rugged of all the competitions, Baja SAE gives students the first-hand challenge of pursuing their passion while managing real-life demands and priorities.

Reengineer an existing snowmobile to reduce emissions and noise. These snowmobiles are judged in a series of static and dynamic events, including technical inspection, emissions, noise, fuel economy/endurance, acceleration, handling, cold start, cost and design.

Collaboratively design and build a formula-style electric or plug-in hybrid racecar and compete in a series of events. This educational competition emphasizes drivetrain innovation and fuel efficiency in a high-performance application.

Conceive, design, fabricate, develop, and compete with small, formula-style vehicles. These cars are judged in a series of static and dynamic events — including technical inspection, cost, presentation, engineering design, solo performance trials and high-performance endurance.

Compete in static and dynamic events such as design, presentation, cost, acceleration, skidpad, autocross, endurance, and efficiency with vehicles powered only by electric motors.

Develop autonomous vehicle software that can determine optimal paths and perceive static and dynamic objects. Also explore complex social responsibility issues surrounding autonomous technology.
