Thermal Management Systems Digital Summit

October 9-11, 2018 │ San Diego, CA │ San Diego Marriott Mission Valley

Benefits of Attending

Gain Knowledge
Education about the latest thermal management and alternative refrigerant technology and regulations in the industry.
Peer-to-Peer Networking
Ample networking opportunities to make connections with key players and experts in the field
Exclusive Access
Access to high-level, decision-making audience from industry, academia, and government.

Why Should You Attend?

Attendees range from engineers to industry executives—will learn valuable solutions and strategies on how to navigate current thermal management challenges and regulations such as:

  • Regulations dictating changes to vehicle performance and emission release
  • Need to evaluate new hybrid and electric vehicles
  • Need for industry standards to define increased load on the engine of a vehicle due to air conditioner usage, which reduces fuel efficiency and increases CO2 emissions
  • Significant research and development money is being spent by this industry as the stakes are high when it comes to emissions and direct energy consumption by vehicles. The symposium will cover specific topics including:
  • Advanced/Alternative Propulsion and Thermal Systems
  • Alternative Powertrain/Hybrid Battery Thermal Management
  • Alternative Refrigerants and A/C Systems
  • Heat Exchangers-Design and Manufacturing
  • Powertrain Cooling
  • Simulation of Thermal Systems
  • Thermal Comfort and Cabin Air Quality
  • Thermal Processes
  • Underhood Thermal Management
  • Vehicle Climate Control Systems
  • Thermal System Components.

Alert: Room Reservations

SAE International does not use a housing bureau or third-party agency for hotel accommodations or any other travel arrangements. Any claims by any company stating otherwise are not true. Please be sure you are booking directly through the links on this page or directly with a specific property.

Message to Attendees

SAE International has made every effort to secure the best possible group nightly room rate for you at this event. That rate results from a negotiated overall package of event needs such as sleeping rooms, meeting room space and other requirements. Contracts with the venue include a provision to reduce event costs if SAE meets or exceeds its minimum sleeping room block guarantee. Conversely, event costs will increase if SAE falls short of its minimum room block guarantee. Please help SAE keep the costs of this event as low as possible by booking your housing needs at the designated host hotel and through the reservation process created by SAE. Reserving elsewhere means you are booking outside the contracted room block, jeopardizing SAE's ability to meet its contracted obligations and to keep registration fees to a minimum. SAE appreciates your support and understanding of this important issue.
