Urban Mobility & Smart City Workshop 2020 Transitioning to Virtual Event

Due to concerns around the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, SAE International has made the responsible decision to transition the Urban Mobility & Smart City Workshop to a virtual event and cancel the in-person event, originally scheduled for September 1-2, 2020, Troy, Michigan. Additional information on the virtual event will be made available in the coming weeks.

Before making this decision, we extensively monitored and evaluated health directives from governmental and international health authorities, government- and corporate-imposed travel restrictions, and distancing and gathering directives and recommendations. Our decision to transition to a virtual event aligns with our commitment to prioritizing the health and safety of our speakers, customers, partners and staff who attend our events, while continuing to share mobility knowledge in a digital platform. We apologize for any inconvenience this cancellation has caused.

Please see our Frequently Asked Questions for additional information.

As urban environment populations are growing, there is a need for the automotive, urban planning, and infrastructure industries to have a neutral forum to discuss new transportation challenges and implement real-world solutions.  The Urban Mobility & Smart Cities Workshop creates the environment for critical connections to form between industry leaders and organizations, and provides a comprehensive format where government regulations and industry solutions can be discussed. To be a conduit for discussion on further advancements, you must be at Urban Mobility & Smart Cities.
