Chair and Acting Chief Executive Officer, CNH Industrial
Suzanne Heywood was appointed Chair of CNH Industrial N.V., in July 2018 and assumed the role of Acting Chief Executive Officer in March 2020. Lady Heywood became a Managing Director of Exor in 2016. Prior to that she worked at McKinsey & Company which she joined as an associate in 1997 and left as a Senior Partner (Director) in 2016. Suzanne co-led McKinsey’s global service line on organization design for several years and also worked extensively on strategic issues with clients across different sectors. She has published a book, “Reorg,” and multiple articles on these topics and has also acted as a visiting lecturer at Tsinghua University in Beijing.
Suzanne started her career in the U.K. Government as a Civil Servant in the U.K. Treasury. At the Treasury she worked as Private Secretary to the Financial Secretary (who is responsible for all direct taxation issues) as well as leading thinking on the Government’s privatization policy and supporting the Chancellor in his negotiations at ECOFIN (the meeting of European Finance Ministers) in Brussels. Prior to that she studied science at Oxford University (BA) and then at Cambridge University (PhD).
Lady Heywood is also a Board Member of The Economist (where she is an Audit Committee member), a non-executive director of Chanel, a director of the Royal Opera House (where she is the Acting Chair) and of the Royal Academy of Arts Trust. She grew up sailing around the world for ten years on a yacht with her family recreating Captain James Cook’s third voyage around the world.

Chief Technology Officer, CNH Industrial
Jayanthi (Jay) Iyengar assumed the role of Chief Technology Officer in November 2019.
She has over 30 years of international technology experience in the automotive, aerospace and advanced water technology fields, much of which she gained through roles of increasing importance with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Eaton Aerospace and Xylem Inc.
After starting her career in product development for Delphi/General Motors in 1988, Ms. Iyengar joined Chrysler in 1997 as a Powertrain Systems Engineer. This was followed by a series of roles of increasing importance in its powertrain division, and in 2005 was named Senior Manager and Chief Engineer of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles’ (FCA) Hybrid Development Center. From 2009 – 2012 Ms. Iyengar served as Global Director, Electrified Powertrains for FCA. In 2012 she joined Eaton Aerospace as Group Vice President Engineering and Technology, and from 2015 – 2019 she was the Senior Vice President, Chief Innovation and Technology Officer of Xylem Inc., a leading water technology company.
Jay Iyengar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Mysore University, Karnataka, India, a Master’s degree MTech in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, India, as well as a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Wayne State University, Michigan, USA. She has also served on the board of the Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Vehicular Technology Society and is a current board member of Engineering Tomorrow, a non-profit focussed on promoting STEM education for underprivileged minority high school students.
Chief Product Officer, TuSimple
Prior to joining TuSimple, Chuck led engineering and technical operations at truck platooning leader Peloton Technology.
Before entering the world of truck automation, Chuck had over 25 years experience in the development and management of innovative software technologies, as VP of Development at Oracle Corporation, VP Engineering at Active Reasoning, Inc. (acquired by Oracle), SVP at Hotjobs.com and, after the company’s acquisition by Yahoo, a Yahoo! SVP.
Before Hotjobs.com, Chuck was cofounder and CTO at Lumenare’ Networks (acquired by Dell as Gale Technologies), Director of Engineering at Freegate (acquired by Tut Systems), and Chief Engineer at Broadvision (NASDAQ: BVSN).
Chuck's background also includes 4 years at Sun Microsystems and 10 years at Digital Equipment Corporation. He holds over 10 patents in software technologies, including fundamental patents in connected vehicle technologies and platooning, electronic commerce, cyber-security and cloud infrastructure management.
Executive Director, NACFE / Truck Operations Leader, Rocky Mountain Institute
Mike has worked in the commercial vehicle industry for over 30 years, is the Executive Director of the North American Council for Freight Efficiency and leads the Trucking Efficiency Operations for the Rocky Mountain Institute. Mike’s specialty is brokering green truck collaborative technologies into the real world at scale. He has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the Ohio State University and a Master’s in Organizational Leadership from the Indiana Institute of Technology. Mike currently serves on the second National Academy of Sciences Committee on Technologies and Approaches for Reducing the Fuel Consumption of Medium- and Heavy-Duty Vehicles, is a Department of Energy Merit Reviewer for the SuperTruck programs and served as Chairman of the Board for the Truck Manufacturers Association. He understands the customers, operations and intricacies of the commercial vehicle industry having held various positions in product development, engineering, reliability and quality, sales, materials and plant management with Navistar and Behr/Cummins.
