Alex Rath, Student Leadership
Alex Rath is in a league of his own.
The General Motors Control System Engineer began his journey with SAE during his undergrad at Kettering University as a Formula SAE, Clean Snowmobile and AutoDrive Challenge™ student participant. Alex has transitioned to the volunteer side of AutoDrive Challenge™ and currently serves as the Dynamic Captain AutoDrive Challenge™ II.
His determination to contribute to this initiative serves as a source of inspiration for both students and volunteers. Having previously competed in AutoDrive himself, his active participation encourages others to support the next generation of young professionals in achieving excellence within the mobility industry.
“I am super honored to get this recognition,” Alex said. “I was fortunate enough to go to a university that had several SAE University Programs on site, and I was able to learn a ton through those and see a lot of other people learn through those. I’m really honored to be able to give back to the next generation of students.”
Alex was nominated by SAE Education Program Specialist Zac Pace, who leads SAE’s AutoDrive Challenge™ and works closely with Alex on the success of the program.
“Alex manages every area of his responsibilities with tremendous grace and is constantly working to ensure the students in this program are learning and growing,” Zac said.
Congratulations, Alex! Thank you for all that you do.
