Fullsight Participates in First Pittsburgh Pride Parade

Posted: June 12, 2024

On Saturday, June 1, Fullsight, along with affiliates SAE International, Performance Review Institute (PRI) and SAE Industry Technologies Consortia (ITC) marched together in the Pride Parade, part of the annual Pittsburgh Pride Celebration.

The organization’s participation reflects its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) efforts and emphasizes the position that SAE and all its affiliates take – mobility is for everyone.

“It’s an exciting time to be at Fullsight,” said Rebecca Lemon, Diversity Officer at Fullsight. “We have a lot of initiatives in action that demonstrate our commitment to a culturally diverse and inclusive workforce. We understand the importance of varied perspectives in mobility, and attending the Pride parade underscores our larger goal of serving a global community that is made up of a wonderful mix of lived experiences.”

Fullsight offers multiple employee resource groups (ERGs) supporting different identities in the workplace. For members of the LGBTQA+ community and allies, there is the LGBTQA+ ERG, currently led by Zac Pace, Education Program Specialist at SAE International.

Under Pace’s leadership, the group has pursued internal ally training initiatives and is a safe space for queer employees to connect. The idea to march in the Pride Parade began as an LGBTQA+ ERG member suggestion.  From there, Pace and a group of volunteers, supported by Lemon and the group’s executive sponsor, Greg Bradley, Interim Co-Chief Executive Officer and Chief Legal Officer at Fullsight, brought the idea to fruition.

“I took it as a sign of progress that our members felt empowered to suggest marching in the parade, and it was especially validating that we had the full support of our organizational leadership from the very start,” Pace said.  “Being a part of Pittsburgh Pride has provided such a powerful bonding experience for our members and is a welcome signal that we do belong in this space. I’m thrilled we had the opportunity to participate and look forward to more events like this in the future.”
