How is SAE Membership changing?
We transitioned from a tiered membership model that included three different levels of membership—Classic, Premium and Elite—to a streamlined model with one level only: SAE Membership.
Why did SAE make this change?
When our members spoke, we listened. In response to valued member feedback, the three membership levels were streamlined, creating a single membership model that provides more of the benefits at an affordable rate. We are dedicated to providing quality resources, programming, and a sense of community to all members, from young professionals to experienced industry authorities.
How will membership pricing change?
Professional membership will be the cost-effective rate of $110. Plus, save 10% on most SAE products and services. Remember, your membership dues also go toward further enhancing programming and activities for current members, as well as developing new opportunities for the future generation of engineers. It’s a win-win opportunity for all!
Are Life SAE and Retired members affected by this change?
Life SAE and Retired members will continue to enjoy access to all their member benefits with no change to their membership status or rate.
When do these changes take effect?
The membership change took effect Jan. 1, 2019. Current SAE Members will remain at their current level of membership up until their 2019 expiration date. At that time, membership renewal will be for the new SAE Membership.
