  1.  A quality parameter that is the fraction nonconforming in a lot where there is a small chance that a lot will be accepted by the specified sampling plan.

    NOTE 1:  For use throughout this standard, the term LQ is established at the percent nonconforming having probability of lot acceptance equal to 10%.

    NOTE 2:  For precise computation of the LQ value for finite lots of discrete parts, it is generally the case that no integer number of nonconforming units produces exactly 10% probability of acceptance, so the LQ for that sample size can be computed as the weighted average of the two nearest points on the discrete OC curve.
