Topics: Quality, Safety & Maintenance
This seminar is offered in China only and presented in Mandarin Chinese. The course materials are bilingual (English and Chinese).
RTCA DO-178C <Software Considerations in Airborne Systems and Equipment Certification> is the worldwide accepted standard for civil aviation software development and certification. Compliance with the objectives of DO-178C is the primary means for meeting airworthiness requirements and obtaining approval of airborne software in TC/STC/TSO, etc.
Even after learning the DO-178C, many people said they still lack of experience and still find it difficult to produce DO-178C compliant airborne software in real applications. This three-day practical training will provide attendees with an in-depth dry run of producing DO-178C compliant With the development of Chinese civil aviation industry, more and more people realized the importance of airborne software. During the certification process of previous ARJ21 aircraft, airborne software had captured many concerns. Nowadays the certification process of C919 aircraft has also reached its peak after its maiden flight. In this context, learning how to correctly understand and strictly meet the objectives DO-178C becomes very essential for the people who is developing or is going to develop airborne software.
However, even after attended some DO-178C training courses, many people still lack of experience and still find it difficult to produce DO-178C compliant airborne software in real applications. This three-day practical training will help attendees to gain such experience with an in-depth dry run of producing DO-178C compliant airborne software.
By attending this seminar, you will be able to:
It is recommended that attendees have more than 2 years of experience in software engineering. It is also preferable that the attendees have already attended the DO-178C Basic Training or have already acquired the basic knowledge of software airworthiness and DO-178C.
Mr. Yunming WANG obtained his bachelor's degree from Fudan University in Mathematics Department, his Master's degree from Fudan University in Computer Science Department, his PhD from INRIA in Computer Science Department.
During his research and working experience in France, Mr. WANG has been deeply involved in software development, software certification and tool qualification. He has accumulated rich experience in software implementation and certification under the circumstance of airworthiness requirements based on DO-178C standard and its supplements. As a member of SC-205/WG-71, the editorial committee of DO-178C standard series, Mr. WANG participates in the formulation of DO-178C, DO-330, DO-331, DO-332, DO-333, DO-278A, DO-248C and other standards.
Since Mr. WANG returned to China, He has been providing a wide spectrum of high-level training and consulting services for domestic enterprises and institutions by introducing advanced software development technologies, promoting normative software development processes, interpreting industry standards of safety-critical software development and assisting in projects of standard application and certification. He has been offering basic training, advanced training, practical training and DER training of airworthiness standards for years.
Mr. WANG published dozens of technical papers both in China and abroad. In his book " Best Practice for Airborne Software Production Workflow”, he puts forward a mathematical model of lifecycle and a complete set of best practice which is rigorous, standardized and easy to conduct. In addition, he leads a team and develops a software lifecycle integrated development environment to implement his ideas and best practices in the book. It has been regarded as very innovative work and has won high praise from the industry.
