Topics: Quality, Safety & Maintenance
This course is offered in China only and presented in Mandarin Chinese. The course materials are bilingual (English and Chinese).
Participants in this course comprehensive understanding of the DO-254 standard including how the development of airborne electronic hardware (AEH) and the development of the aircraft system are related. It addresses the key objectives, activities, and generated data of the AEH lifecycle and presents common problems in the application of DO-254 and how to prevent them. This course also includes current AEH certification requirements and interprets some of the difficulties in gaining compliance approval. Participants where certification authorities focus their monitoring for airworthiness compliance of AEH, which will help them comprehensively implement relevant certification requirements in the development of hardware products.
By attending this course you will be able to:
This course is designed for avionics hardware development engineers, managers, and airworthiness professionals in the aviation industry. Participants need to be practitioners in the field of hardware and software technology and have a basic knowledge of digital circuits, hardware design and testing, and certification related to airborne software and electronic hardware.
You must complete all course contact hours and successfully pass the learning assessment to obtain CEUs.
Ms. Ju graduated from Hefei Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences with a master's degree in engineering. She joined COMAC Shanghai Aircraft Design and Research Institute in 2008, and has been engaged in the certification related work of airborne software and electronic hardware. She has a deeper understanding of DO-178 B/C and DO-254 standard and over 10 years of experience in reviewing the airborne software and electronic hardware of aircraft manufacturer. She has been responsible for the engineering reviews and certification audits of airborne software and hardware for multiple critical and complex systems. She mainly studies the engineering monitoring and the airworthiness compliance of airborne software and electronic hardware, and has won many academy and company-level science and technology achievement awards, the award for science and technology progress of Pudong New District, Shanghai, and many individual advanced awards.
In 2014, she was authorized Designated Engineering Representative (DER) by CAAC, and joined the Airworthiness Office of Civil Aviation Administration of China in 2018 to work as full-time certification auditor of airborne software and electronic hardware. In addition, she was also employed as a part-time instructor at the Civil Aviation Management Institute of China, where she teaches the civil aircraft AEH certification course in the DER training.
