A World In Motion

Our program brings Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education to life for students in grades K-8 with hands-on activities.

Due to concerns around the rapidly evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, SAE International and the SAE Foundation are working with all stakeholders to provide contingency plans and alternative solutions for all A World In Motion (AWIM) classroom deliveries, events and engagements for the remainder of 2020.

We are firmly committed to prioritizing the health and safety of our volunteers, teachers and students, and are taking precautions to follow all guidance from international health authorities, government- and corporate-imposed travel restrictions, as well as all restrictions imposed by schools and school districts for AWIM classroom activities.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this trying time. If you have specific questions about an AWIM activity you are engaged with, please reach out to awim@sae.org. If you have specific questions about funding, please reach out to foundation@sae.org.

Helping Today's Students Become Tomorrow's Engineers and Scientists

Our K-8 STEM education solution—A World In Motion (AWIM)—is a teacher-administered, industry volunteer-assisted program that brings science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education to life in the classroom for students in kindergarten through eighth grade. Benchmarked to national standards, the AWIM program incorporates integrated STEM learning experiences through hands-on activities that reinforce classroom STEM learning.

STEM@Home

Parents and caregivers can access hands-on PreK-8 STEM experiences and activities based on SAE’s award-winning A World In Motion STEM curriculum. Our goal is to ensure all learners continue to thrive at home every day by providing fun and engaging STEM activities. Check back each week as we continue to add new STEM@Home resources.
