Henkel Communities

Looking back on nearly 140 years of success, Henkel's vision is to become a global leader in brands and technologies. Henkel holds globally leading market positions both in the consumer and industrial sector today and is well known for brands such as Persil, Schwarzkopf and Loctite. The company is organized into three globally operating business units: Laundry & Home Care, Beauty Care and Adhesive Technologies. Henkel is globally active and has as strong presence in emerging markets. With a current gift of $16,500 for 2016, Henkel lends support to Cornerstone Schools in Detroit, Michigan and supports the SAE World Congress Jet Toy and Motorized Toy Car competitions.

Objective

As a leader in industry and an engaged corporate citizen, Henkel is well aware that one of the most pressing issues facing industry today is the decline of students enrolling in science and technology programs. This decline and its impact threaten our ability to meet future workforce demands and present repercussions to be felt for generations to come. SAE International, the leader in connecting and educating engineers while promoting, developing, and advancing aerospace, commercial vehicle and automotive engineering, shares Henkel's concern for the future and established the SAE Foundation in 1986. The SAE Foundation supports and nurtures students' enthusiasm for science and technology education, building bridges between corporations, individuals and classrooms, providing the opportunity to work together and learn from one another.
