A World In Motion®

Our program brings Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education to life for students in grades PreK-12 with hands-on activities.

Kia Communities

Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia, Inc. (KMMG) is the first manufacturing site in North America for Kia Motors Corporation based in Seoul, Korea. Their mission is to produce the best vehicles exhibiting superior technology, quality, and value through a spirit of continuous improvement, creativity, teamwork and value-based relationships. Kia is a learning organization, and is committed to area students and the importance of working together as one system, one team. In 2012 KMMG presented a $900,000 donation to the SAE Foundation - KMMG's commitment to STEM and the community is strengthened by this partnership with SAE Foundation and the Troup County School System located in Georgia. SAE Foundation will use these funds over the next three years to provide services to the school system through the implementation of SAE's K - 12 STEM Education Program, A World in Motion® (AWIM). In 2015 KMMG renewed their commitment to area schools in Troup and surrounding communities with a $1.2 Million donation.

Objective

KMMG's generous 3-yr donation, totaling $1.2 Million, will support efforts in Georgia and Alabama to advance math and science education through SAE International's award-winning A World In Motion® (AWIM) program and ensure the technical competency of the future talent pool. The relentless pursuit of innovative, effective STEM education is made possible by corporations like Kia - innovation is a key component of the KIA mantra and A World In Motion exemplifies this in its curriculum design and delivery, as well as its ability to create the next generation of innovators.
