Member Discounts

SAE member discount fees are applicable to current members in good standing. Some Professional Development courses, such as those involving driving vehicles, are exempt from the member discount due to higher operational costs. Smaller percentage discounts, however, still apply.

Multiple Registrations–Classroom Seminars

Save an additional 10% when eight or more people from the same company register to attend the same class together. Simply provide your confirmation number to your colleagues and ask them to mention this number when calling SAE Customer Service at 1-877-606-7323 (U.S. and Canada) or 1-724-776-4970 and registering for the same seminar offering.

The discount will be reimbursed to you and applied to your colleagues once registration is finalized for all eight (or more) registrants. Discount valid only for eight or more registrants who attend the same seminar offering. Some Professional Development courses, such as those involving driving vehicles, are exempt due to higher operational costs. In this instance, a discount of $50 will be applied to each individual who is part of a group of eight or more registrants who are attending the same seminar offering.

Please note: the Aerospace Supplier Quality: Common Training for Self-Release Delegates (C1501) seminar is not applicable for multiple registration discounts.

Faculty Discounts

Full-time faculty members who are also SAE Members can attend Professional Development Seminars and Web Seminars at a 50% discount off of the list price and Engineering Academies at a $500 discount off of the list price. All faculty registrations are on a "space available" basis and will not be guaranteed until after the "Go/No Go" Decision has been made for the event (typically 2 Fridays prior to the event start date). Faculty members must pre-register by calling SAE Customer Service at 1-877-606-7323 (U.S. and Canada) or 1-724-776-4970.
SAE International requires that anyone registering for a Professional Development offering at the faculty discount fee is required to provide proof of full-time faculty status in advance of the course. Acceptable documentation, submitted by e-mail or fax, is a letter written by the faculty member's Dean declaring him/her as full-time faculty member.

Full time faculty who are SAE Members can also apply for a limited number of faculty scholarships that are funded by the Teetor Awards program. Up to $2,500 is available to cover registration fees and travel including air, ground, hotel, and meals for one course per year.

Student Discounts

SAE student members can attend a SAE Seminar for a 20% discount. All student registrations are on a "space available" basis and will not be guaranteed until after the "Go/No Go" Decision has been made for the event (typically 2 Fridays prior to the event start date). Student members must pre-register by calling SAE Customer Service at 1-877-606-7323 (U.S. and Canada) or 1-724-776-4970.

SAE International requires that anyone registering for a seminar or web seminar at the student discount fee is required to provide proof of full-time student status (12 credits per semester) in advance of the course. Acceptable documentation, presented at seminar check-in or submitted for web seminars by e-mail or fax, is a full-time Student ID or current transcript.

SAE Senior Discount Program

SAE is pleased to offer members age 62 or older an affordable opportunity to stay current in their profession. Seniors are eligible to access SAE Seminars/Web Seminars and Engineering Academies at a 50 percent discount (space available). Proof of age is required at the time of registration.
