SAE International’s WCX World Congress Experience Launches Connect2Car Technical Sessions and Exhibition at Annual Event

SAE International’s WCX World Congress Experience, the three-day event that unites the best talent in the worldwide mobility industry, adds the Connect2Car event to the technical program lineup. Connect2Car is a specialized technical program that focuses on the future technology of connected, autonomous vehicles. This exclusive program is the third installment of the Connect2Car event series, which includes Connect2Car at CES and the Connect2Car Executive Leadership Forum.

Designed to educate and inspire attendees, Connect2Car will run alongside the main WCX event set for April 10–12, 2018, but will focus solely on connected technology to innovations for increased efficiency and safety of connected vehicles. Attendees will have access to Leadership Summit Roundtables, Tech Hub Presentations, Technical Sessions and a specialized Connect2Car Exhibition Pavilion. Connect2Car is an opportunity for executives, engineers and suppliers to come together at mobility’s largest event to discuss the future of automotive vehicles.

“This new program at WCX showcases solutions dedicated to the future of connected vehicles,” said Tim Cavanaugh, Event Developer. “Connect2Car at WCX is committed to providing access to next-gen solutions and technologies, providing attendees from leading-edge companies with a preview of the innovations and education needed to ensure they stay ahead of the implementation curve.”

By registering for WCX, participants will gain full access to Connect2Car and all its activities for no additional cost. WCX gives attendees critical insights on the latest technology and regulations for all aspects of the autonomous vehicle supply chain including powertrain, propulsion, emission, safety and electronics.

SAE International also is pleased to announced an extended registration deadline for the SAE Connected Vehicle Challenge. This new challenge gives engineers a chance to compete against peers from around the world for a chance to win up to $10,000. Competitors must build a connected device or software application that demonstrates how vehicle connectivity can have a positive effect on our communities, quality of life, and the environment.

Applications must be received no later than February 28, 2018. Five finalists will be selected to present their solution live at WCX in front of a panel of judges. Learn more about by visiting the Connected Vehicle Challege page at sae.org.
