SAE International Appoints Richard Wilkie as New Chief Information Officer

WARRENDALE, Pa.
SAE International announces the hiring of Richard Wilkie as its new Chief Information Officer.
In his role, Mr. Wilkie will lead SAE International’s efforts to serve its members and customers through world-class, state-of-the-art information products needed to usher in by the new mobility economy.
“Rich’s customer-focused, product development expertise along with his deep operational experience will ensure the organization is fully enabled to deliver on our mission and strategic imperatives,” David L. Schutt, PhD, Chief Executive Officer of SAE International, said. “We are pleased to have him as part of the SAE International team.”
Mr. Wilkie has more than 30 years of progressive information technology leadership in all areas, especially in product software development. Prior to joining SAE International, he held executive IT management roles at several Fortune 500 companies including Hewlett-Packard, Nortel Networks, ECI Telecom, Carnegie Learning, and most recently with Opus Global. In these roles, he was responsible for building and supporting numerous enterprise, carrier and consumer products for the financial services, telecom, education, and medical industries.
Mr. Wilkie earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts.
